Walker expands to Los Angeles

Walker is on the move. A year after launching in Portland, we opened up shop in Los Angeles on Abbot Kinney in Venice Beach. The new office is led by executive producer, Genevieve Vincent, who is overseeing a variety of film, TV and commercial projects, including campaigns for Toyota, Sony, and a direct-to-client short film for Bose, alongside producer, Paul Dirksen.

Founder, Sara Matarazzo, is looking forward to fostering new creative relationships among the L.A. agency and production communities through WALKER’s unique approach to music branding. “We don’t have in-house writers. We hire the best songwriter and composers for each job,” she explains. “It’s so fun to work that way. You really get to curate it and create something with the client. It becomes a true creative partnership.”

The new office is also working with major labels to remix content for synchronization and licensing. “The new studio space will allow us to work more closely with our clients in L.A.,” adds Vincent, “as well as expand our services in the city's film, TV and animation communities.”

Back in Portland, Matarazzo continues to head up music supervision, licensing and scoring jobs at WALKER HQ alongside producer, Abbey Hickman, engineer, Graeme Gibson, and business affairs director, Dave Haworth.
